OBDA extensions to the DIG 1.1 protocol (link)

A communication protocol for systems that provide OBDA functionality. It’s an effort towards the standarization of the interaction with OBDA systems. It brings into DIG 1.1 the concepts of data source and mappings and provides an extension mechanism which allows implementors to define the specific type of data sources and mappings that their OBDA system implements. More over, being based on the DIG 1.1 interface, its implementation requires minimal efforts for systems already implementing this interface. At the moment, the extensions are implemented in the DIG server for the QuOnto system and in the OBDA Plugin-in for Protégé 3.3.1.

OBDA extensions to OWLlink (previously DIG 2.0) (link)

Update (02/Nov/09): This document will be available during the first half of 2010.

The OBDA extension to OWLlink is part of the effort towards the standardization of the interaction between client and systems that provide OBDA functionality which started with the Bulk-Data Management proposal for DIG 2.0 (link) and the OBDA extensions to DIG 1.1 (link). It builts on the experiences obtained from these and brings OBDA into the upcomming OWLlink, aligning OBDA with the future developments of OWL 2.0.
