Ontology Based Data Access (OBDA) is an area of research in which the focus is to provide access to one or more data sources through a mediating ontology. The ontology acts a semantic layer between the user and the data. The semantics of the ontology are used to enrich the information on the sources and/or cope with incomplete information in them.

This website holds links to the projects we have running at the Free University of Bozen-Bolzano regarding Ontology Based Data Access. In the future, we will also provide general documentation about the OBDA architecture.
